Won’t Get Fooled Again?

Classics encapsulate wisdom, condensed into poetic language, precocious it its youth and revolutionary in its implications … if only listened to, really listened to. The Who’s Won’t Get Fooled Again is a classic.  Released as a single in June 1971, if taken to heart and incorporated into America’s political life would’ve truly revolutionized our history.

For already Townsend and the band seem to grasp that Republicans and Democrats are two sides of the same bad coin, what I see now as the same New World Order coin.  The two parties alternate in power like a gigantic see saw, one up the other down and reverse every 4 to 8 years, both marching to the same drum and toward the same inexorable end.

The internet in February 2017 is riddled with Americans who hoped for change in Donald Trump already questioning whether Trump is “Hope and Change 2.0” and not a true outsider. They wonder, did they fool Republicans again with Donald Trump, like they fooled Democrats again with Barack Obama.

Douglas Reed captured the rhythm in 1951, 20 years before The Who made it a ballad.  According to Reed Zionism and Marxism are like a giant see saw, as one propelling forward through time, moving its slow thighs across our land while indignant desert birds reel about.

He captures the moment perfectly drawing in our focus on a moment in time, November 1917, when two events separated by a thousand miles but only 10 days rocked the next 100 years.  In November 1917 the Marxist Bolsheviks seized power in Russia making what became The Soviet Union the first Marxist State in history.  And in November 1917 the Zionists in England secured Palestine for their future State, though not officially a State until 1948, through the Balfour Declaration.

In investigating the crime of World Wars I and II Reed asks the eternal question “Cui Bono”, who benefits? In his position of retrospect only 6 years after WWII ended, Reed sees that in WWI the above mentioned events of November 1917 are its real outcomes. It was Zionists and Marxists that benefited from that first world war.  Also, the League of Nations was formed, an early attempt at world government or the New World Order.

World War II had a similar outcome, almost beautiful in its synchronicity.  The Marxists gained half of Europe, then China and the Far East just afterward.  The Zionists gained their state with Israel’s founding in 1948.  And the United Nations on October 24, 1945 took a further leap toward the New World Order.

In this light when we look at the American political scene we see that the Democrats are the arm of Marxism and the Republicans are the arm of Zionism, and both are marching lock and step toward the New World Order. They are two sides of the same coin, and it’s the United States coin of Federal Reserve bank notes and IMF funding.

I’ve been watching the political scene in America as a Christian since 1979, and I can only conclude the same thing.  Both parties seem to be guided by the same almost invisible hand toward the same ends, and those ends are foreign wars and American Imperialism, and a growing police state domestically.

With this in mind The Who looks truly revolutionary with Won’t Get Fooled Again;

The change it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that’s all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain’t changed
‘Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war
I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
No, no!

I’ll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I’ll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?

There’s nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I’ll get on my knees and pray
We don’t get fooled again
Don’t get fooled again
No, no!
